Ghana : CSE deputy Chairman N. Goodman now Asante’s chairman for new challenges

Asante Gold Corporation, Canadian gold company with solid assets in Ghana, on June 27 announced Mr. Ned Goodman has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CSE and Frankfurt listed Company.

We look forward to working with Mr. Goodman to assist and guide the Company as it continues to explore and develop its gold projects in Ghana, West Africa”, Douglas R. MacQuarrie, President and CEO of Asante Gold explained.

Mr. Goodman, a geologist, an investment manager and Deputy Chairman of the Canadian Securities Exchange, joins Asante Gold with extensive experience.

He has been active at the “leading edge of the Canadian gold exploration, development and investment sectors for many decades, and played a leadership role in the re-emergence of Canada’s gold-mining industry in the 1980s”, the Vancouver based company reported

It is recalled that, Ned Goodman was involved in the creation of Kinross Gold, Repadre (later IAMGOLD) and Dundee Precious Metals, and was an early backer of FNX Mining Company Inc. (later Quadra FNX Mining).

Asante Gold Corporation develops the Kubi gold project in Ghana and is exploring the Betanase concession under option from Perseus Mining (Ghana) Ltd and the Fahiakoba concession, all near the centre of Ghana’s golden triangle. (Rutilance.com)
